Old Bastards Golf Association (OBGA) Rules:



1.     An Old Bastard is defined as anyone AARP aged 50 and older or feels it.

2.     2 mulligans allowed per nine holes
3.     2 foot wedges allowed per nine holes
4.     Old Bastard tees need to be at least 20 or more yards ahead of regular tees (if not, create you own.) [Alternative: 10 yards/10 years past 55]
5.     All OBGA approved courses have no roughs (speeds up play not searching for lost balls)
6.     2 minute maximum search for ball in above approved courses (find someone in your group that can see.)
7.     Seven stroke maximum on all holes
8.     Three putt maximum on all greens
9.     If you audibly pass gas while driving or hitting to the green, one stroke is deducted from score for style points.
10.                        If you audibly pass gas while putting 2 strokes are reduced from your score.
11.                         If you audibly pass gas on any televised situation you automatically win the hole.
12.                        Always play when ready, we’re slow enough as is.
13.                         Maximum course length for OBGA course is 5400 yards.
14.                         Old Bastards that consistently hit their drives less that 200 yards get 2 stroke per 9 holes beyond handicap.
15.                        Old Bastards that consistently hit the ball over two hundred yards are exempted from rule 4.
16.                        Old Bastards under the height of 5’4” are to honored and revered for their courage and audacity. (bowing is an appropriate form of acknowledgment.)
17.                        Old Bastards are allowed chain saws on approved courses once a year. (still under review)
18.                        Old Bastards can carry any number of clubs they can lift.
19.                        Killing Old Bastards on the course when hitting into the group is considered bad form (and they have their ways of wreaking revenge.) Offenders pay funerals costs.
20.                        Venerable Old Bastards is a special recognition given by the OBGA whenever they want for whatever reason. (This affects frules 2, 3, and 4)
