The Fable of Peeno, Gree G. O.

Gree George Orwellian Peeno is a most unusual man. First of all, his physical appearance is odd to say the least. He has a very long torso with very short arms and legs. He is totally bald. His neck is very thick with his head only slightly jutting out above it. His mouth is wide with thin, almost nonexistent lips. He has pinpoint beady little eyes with no eyebrows. He has a congenital neck injury that cause his face to point almost straight up; in fact, he has to carry an umbrella at all times in case of rain which would make him down through his tiny nostrils. He is tubular. Are you picturing this all in your mind? Yes, friends, Gree looks like a walking penis. Unfortunately is also has many allergies that produce prodigious amount of phlegm which he spits frequently. It is a bit disconcerting to watch. In addition Gree has an enormous bladder so he only has to urinate once a day. Since he has a rather diminutive member it takes quite a while to empty his bladder, but he does so with great force. His intestinal tract is twice the length of a normal human being over 60 feet in length and moves quite slowly, so most of the time, to put in politely, he is constantly full of feces.

However, Mr. Peeno is a man of talent, cunning and wealth. Though he is a very private person, for obvious reasons, he is the power behind the throne of some very influential people, being their mentor and guru. He is also very wealthy and it is rumored that the Koch brothers are his illegitimate progeny. One of the first persons Mr. Peeno guided in his political path was none other than Ray Gunn. Mr. Peeno made sure that Ray Gunn received his education at the Austrian School of Economics, though for some reason Mr. Gunn stayed in his sophomore year at that institution his entire tenure there. The Austrian School of Economics, if you are unfamiliar with it, is known for its creation Vous Deux Economics whose underlying principle is that if rich people are very rich their wealth will trickle down to the proletariat. This principle has never been known to work, but is very popular among the mega rich and the guilible.

The Peeno protégé managed to convince a great many people of the illusionary theory, and led the country to Peeno’s dream of the redistribution of wealth to a select few such as himself.

Mr. Peeno’s new puppet is a fellow by the name of Mutt Romaine. Peeno has guided his career carefully making sure that Mutt has become one of the wealthy. Mutt was the CEO of Gekko Inc., a company that bought up other companies, reorganized them by firing lots of employees, raiding their pension funds, selling off various assets and finally bankrupting these companies throwing the workforce to the wolves. It was a very lucrative job and Mutt Romaine avoided a lot of taxes by storing his lettuce in offshore accounts.

Mutt Romaine has also had a very successful political career and is vying for the highest office in the land and has undergone several (four to be exact) reincarnations of his persona which has sold well to the populace. He promises to take the school of Vous Deux economics to a new level by continuing to lower taxes for the wealthy, eradicating social programs, eliminating government regulations over almost everything, and the like. If he gets his way many will remember the Great Depression with fondness of times when things were better for the common man. If you are fond of feudal times however, he is your man.

Odds are at the moment appear that Mutt Romaine has about a fifty fifty chance of pulling off this sleight of hand. I leave you with this cautionary word that behind this Mutt and his kind stand a very powerful prick(s) who is/are full of it. You may end up a serf in his wine cellar.

Except, under Bush, social spending soared. So did regulation. And taxes were lowered for everoyne (only a tiny minority of whom were wealthy). It was pretty much the same thing under Reagan.

As for Bain, is there anything reliable on how many jobs were gained or lost?
