¹Hallelujah!

Praise God in his holy house of worship,

praise him under the open skies;

²Praise him for his acts of power,

praise him for his magnificent greatness;

³Praise with a blast on the trumpet,

praise by strumming soft strings;

⁴Praise him with castanets and dance,

praise him with banjo and flute;

⁵Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,

praise him with fiddles and mandolin.

⁶Let every living, breathing creature praise God!

Hallelujah!

Praise God for warm sunny Florida skies,

    Praise God for refreshing rains and mud puddles;

Praise God for families who travel from the north,

    And share their presence and bring us joy.

Praise God for the visions of little children,

    Praise God for their unmitigated zest for life.

Praise God children’s imaginations,

    For their jubilation noises, and nightly purrs.

Praise God for family, families of origins,

    For families connected throughout the earth.
